Sr DevOps Engineer

Job Summary: 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at River Point Technology, you will be a leader of our delivery team, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IaC and DevOps processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing development lifecycles and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our customers’ platforms and systems.

Responsibilities: 

• • Lead/Manage the implementation of IaC practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
  • Architect, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability.
  • Develop advanced scripts and automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
  • Recommend, implement, and maintain monitoring tools and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Enhance security measures across infrastructure and applications, including vulnerability assessments and compliance checks.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external development teams to support application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Delivery team members, sharing best practices and promoting skill development.

Requirements: 

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or  related role
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration
  • Strong experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, or Terraform
  • Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, MS Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong understanding of software development and release processes
  • 2 or more years of project leadership

Preferred Qualifications: 

• • Advanced level knowledge and experience with  HashiCorp products:
    • Terraform
    • Vault
    • Consul
    • Nomad
    • Packer
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with   GitLab
  • Solid understanding of K8s platform
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Hashi, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
